NHS Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Group has been recognised as one of the top CCGs in the country after being shortlisted at this year’s Health Service Journal (HSJ) awards.

The HSJ awards recognise and reward outstanding practice within the NHS and independent healthcare organisations.

The CCG beat off competition from more than 100 entries to be named as one of six finalists in the clinical commissioning group of the year category after putting forward its 2030 Vision for Health and Care.

Dr Tony Naughton, clinical chief officer for Fylde and Wyre CCG, said: “To be shortlisted in the clinical commissioning group of the year category and recognised as one of the top CCGs in the country is fantastic news and is a testament to the hard work of all of our staff.

“We are facing some significant challenges in the years ahead: an ageing population,
